Jecza Gallery, Timisoara: ONE YEAR OF CONTEMPORARY ART

One Year of Contemporary Art in Timișoara

On the 21st of May 2011, we have opened the new gallery space and launched Jecza Gallery in his own exhibition venue. We started with a solo show by Dumitru Gorzo. After this first exhibition we have hosted solo shows by:
Ioan Augustin Pop, Roman Tolici, Constantin Flondor, Dan Palade and Vlad Ardeleanu, and a group show with works by Dan Perjovschi, Peter Jecza, Teodor Graur, Sorin Vreme, Cristian Rusu, Vlad Olariu, Ioan Augustin Pop, Roman Tolici, Bogdan Girbovan, Michele Bressan and Alexandra Bodea. Each of our shows was a contemporary art highlight for Timisoara and Romania.

We invited well known curators such as Liviana Dan, Oana Tanase, Richard Unwin or Ileana Pintilie, so each show became very particular and presented at an international level.

We had published catalogues for nearly each show, so each exhibition remains also on paper not just in our memories and pictures.

We have participated to Vienna Art Fair, The Solo Projects, Art Fair Koln and the London Art Fair. We are now preparing for this years Vienna Fair and other international projects. We have also started to collaborate with Austrian, American, British and German galleries.

For this year we have already planned some major shows by Romanian and international known artists such as Paul Neagu, Mattis-Teutsch, Peter Jecza, Teodor Graur, Iosif Kiraly, Sorin Vreme, Gili Mocanu, Cristian SIda and many more.

We would be very happy to welcome you at our future shows in Timisoara or at international events and wish you a wonderfull summer!
