Zpace: Management of cultural project – open call for a workshop

Oberliht Association in collaboration with Warsztaty Kultury in Lublin and MitOst, Berlin invites you, from 13 of May to 15 of May, 2014, to take part in the workshop Collaborative Project Development Tools.

The workshop is dedicated to people who are interested and eager to learn how do a cultural project, the focus being on collaborative project development and building sustainable partnerships: how can you work together in an open and trustful working relationship that is at the same time mutually beneficial and has an impact on your city and community?

Goals of the workshop

a) Getting to know each other better and support of a network of initiatives

b) Analysing the needs and potentials for cultural interventions in Chisinau

c) Development of concepts for collaborative projects and description of the potential impact

d) Training on tools / methods for collaborative project development

For whom

individual and small teams of 2-3 persons, active in culture or from initiatives or NGOs working the field of culture, art, cultural education and city development through culture


each participant or group should submit an idea of cultural project which is going to be developed during the workshop, to be interested and open for new challenges.

Workshop will be in English with Romanian translation.

May 13 – 16-18.00

May 14 – 10-13.00 and 14- 17.00

May 15 – 10-12.00

Deadline: May 10, 2014

The workshop will be held by Darius Polok –  one of the co-founders and currently executive director of MitOst, a Berlin based NGO, active in the field of active citizenship and cultural exchange in Europe and its neighbouring regions. He coordinates programmes in the field of cultural exchange such as “Tandem – Cultural Managers Exchange” in cooperation with the European Cultural Foundation and “Actors of Urban Change” in cooperation with the Robert Bosch Stiftung. He studied Slavic Languages and Philosophy in Bochum, Wrocław and Potsdam. Until 2004 he worked in the field of citizenship education as project manager of the Theodor-Heuss-Kolleg. During the past years he has worked also as evaluator for foundations and NGOs and consultant in the fields of non-formal education and cultural exchange.
