Belenyi Szabolcs is a powerful and emerging artist coming from the Cluj School of Art, working in the Paintbrush Factory and living in Cluj Napoca, Romania. The artist equally masters the classical techniques of painting and drawing, working in a transgressive manner at the intersection of these two media; on the conceptual level, Belenyi Szabolcs combines an emotional approach with high skills of expression in order to comprehend and survey humankind’s ambiguous nature.

The artworks comprised in Going for the Kill solo show present Belenyi Szabolcs as a hunter of both human nature and its wild life surroundings, thus placing the artist on a double track of self biography hunt combined with a detailed landscape contemplation; the special feature that differentiate Belenyi Szabolcs within today’s art context is his special ability of being able to envelop analytical cruelty into a lyrical poetical expression.

Going for the Kill solo show presents a wide selection of new artworks especially chosen for the opening of the new gallery space; Zorzini Gallery was relocated into a new 170 square meters space in the former Fur Factory at Natiunile Unite Square, 44 Sfintii Apostoli Street, building A, floor 3, Bucharest.(Adina Zorzini)
