November 2–7, the Review Room of VARTAI Gallery will host the installation kafkiškas PROCESAS (kafkian PROCESS) by the young artist Laura Grybkauskaitė.

The author links her installation to the representation of the value and self-appreciation of both the artist and the creative process. The state of inaccessibility sometimes recurrent between the idea, its realisation and the final result causes existential anxiety. Laura Grybkauskaitė reveals this invisible part of the creative process through an object suspended in the air.

Laura Grybkauskaitė is a young generation graphic artist. She has participated and gained acclaim in multiple exhibitions in Lithuania as well as abroad. A series of Laura’s drawings Aristokratai (Aristocrats) were hosted by the Review Room of Vartai Gallery in spring this year, works from the series of engravings Ritualai (Rituals, 2010–2011), Būsena (State, 2010), Transliacija (Broadcasting, 2009) were exhibited in autumn 2011. The main topics explored by the artist with a social dimension include abstract commonness, failure, uncertainty about meaning and necessity.
