IPA Bucharest 2014 – Workshops, Platform and Symposium

The International Performance Association (IPA) is an expanding network of process oriented artists, devoted to cultural awareness through the professional practice of performance art. IPA strives to provide a platform for such artists from all over the globe to exchange ideas and initiate progress in the world of performance art

The IPA Summer consists of three parts: the workshops, the Platform and the Conference. Starting with 2006, IPA was organized in Berlin, then, in Istanbul. Until today, 272 artists from 39 different nations took part in the IPA Summer.

After its first 2014 edition in Istanbul, IPA is taking place now in Bucharest, between August 25th – September 7th.

The workshops are hosted by Platforma Space. 28 artists will work in three groups with their teachers: Jürgen Fritz (Germany); Alexandra Zierle & Paul Carter (UK); Rocio Boliver (Mexico). On August 31st, there will be a public presentation of the workshops.

Here you can read about the artists who participate at the workshops, and about their teachers – http://www.ipapress.i-pa.org/en/ipa-bucharest-2/

The Platform Festival and the Conference will happen between September 3rd – September 6th at Platforma Space, Caminul Artei Gallery, ZonaD, and in the public space.
