We have the pleasure to invite you to the opening of the exhibition If a DandeLION Could Talk, Monday 27th of May 2013, from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. at the Gervasuti Foundation in Venice. The exhibition is part of the 55th edition of the Venice Art Biennial, curated by Adina Drinceanu and organized by the Triade Foundation.
The show presents a large spectrum of artworks and documentary materials of sigma 1, a historic group active in the 1970's Communist Romania, along with individual artworks by its members Stefan Bertalan, Constantin Flondor and Doru Tulcan. The focus of the exhibition is one important aspect of the practice of this group that is the creation of new systems of thought based on our multifaceted relationship with nature.

If you are not in Venice, a couple of our artists are present in different events all over Europe:
A very special work, by Peter Jecza, which was awarded with the Gold Medal at Ravenna Biennale in 1979, called Dante's Universe, is on display in the Tower of London, in a group show curated by Karen Marr called "Dark to Light", until the 26th of May.
A selection of works by Iosif Kiraly and Michele Bressan are on display in the Museum of Photography in Braunschweig, in an exhibition dedicated to South East Europe called "Recorded Memories". http://www.photomuseum.de/ausstellungen/europe-south-eastrecorded-memories/
Dan Maciuca, a new artist of our gallery, shows a selection of eight works in the group show called: "HOTSPOT CLUJ – NEW ROMANIAN ART" starting from 25th of May to the 10th of November in Arken Museum Copenhagen. http://www.arken.dk/content/us/art/exhibitions/future_exhibitions
Meanwhile in our gallery in Timisoara, the Exhibition “The Obdurate Object and the Idiot Cousin” by Vlad Olariu and Tom Woolner, curated by Jane Neal, continues till the 1st of July. A short video produced at the opening of the exhibition may introduce you to the world of these two young sculptors: http://vimeo.com/65558845
