UROS DJURIC – NEGATIVE HEROES IN COMICS
slide presentation/lecture/open chat

On Friday December 2nd, Pancevo Cultural Center and Sasa Rakezic will present the new edition of the series of events titled GRRR! Program, at the Elektrika venue ( Radomira Putnika 7, Pancevo), starting at 19h.

Uros Djuric, painter from Belgrade, also known as co-founder of Autonomist movement, actor and a radio host,  will this time introduce himself as an avid comics reader. Through  sets of slides, he will give a talk on comics’ negative characters, who made their mark on the popular culture no less than  "positive“ ones.

"Some years ago I came across the presumption that the scale of one’s greatness and significance determine his enemies“ says Djuric.“ When you think of comics characters, it couldn’t be more true. The might and  heroism of a "positive“ character is proportional to the strength and seemingly unbeatable powers of his opponents“. By using examples from the history of comics, Uros Djuric will present his own musings on the enemies of the law and order, various scams, and immoral characters of different kinds.
